my laptop gives me files with some weird noise. what am i doing wrong?

What are your plogue preference settings? Buffer size, FFT size and FFT overlap?

In on-line mode, what is your DSP load?

What does the noise sound like? Buzzing? glitching? A tone going slowly changing pitch?

Buffer size 512,FFT size 8192, overlap 16.
how do i check Dsp load in on line mode?

Sound like the DSP load is too high.

Try changing the over lap to 8. If that doesn't work, set your fft size to 4096 and overlap to 4. then gradually increase size and overlap to find the point at which the buzzing returns.

Overlap has more effect on dsp load than size.

in on-line mode dsp load is displayed at the bottom of plogue. In off line mode there is no DSP load display. In theroy, you shouldn't get any buzzing in offline mode, things will just take longer, so you could live monitor at lower fft size and overlap modes, then increase them for quality and do your measure levels and apply gains steps offline.

In on line mode dsp goes from 99 to 105! But do i have to record to check dsp out?

Ok now FFT overlap is 4 and size 4096, dsp now is floating from 70 to 83. i have spec 4.6 and my computer is one year old HP Pavillion dv7 3125el.
