Post subject: | Strange things happening with making a DTS CD......need help |
I have encountered a very strange thing for which I cannot find the explanation nor the soultion, so I hope someone here knows what's going on.... I wanted to make a DTS CD from a DVDA and ripped the tracks one by one, resampled them to 44.1 Khz, made 6 wavs out of the MCH's and encoded each track in Surcode. Till know all pretty standard work. I took IMGBurn, because that one makes sure there are absolutely no gaps because of CD sectors not matching HD sectors. You get a CUE with File "01.wav" wave , File "02.wav" wave etc. , Burned this on CD and ready. It works perfect ! But I wanted a CUE with one track and with all the info from the songs. So I took the burned DTS CD and ripped it with EAC to one wav with cue. Added all data and reburned it. Now I get interruptions in the DTS stream when it goes from one song to the next, which does not happen with the IMGBurn burned disc. The right speakers fall out, but when I push the "go back to the start" of a song on the remote, I get the full signal again. What is going wrong here ? How should I fix it ? |

A brief edit was made to the original post due to copyright issues which did not affect the main content of the post. |

Off the top of my head, the one question I could think of is whether you used the "detect gaps" function with EAC prior to ripping the disc. I'm out of the country right now, so I can't sit with EAC right now and try to retrace your steps, but that does sound particularly frustrating. |

To make things a bit clearer, I post a part of both CUE files from the burned CD's. This one is made with IMGBurn and is complete gapless : TITLE "ZZ" PERFORMER "XX" FILE "01.wav" WAVE REM FILE-DECODED-SIZE 03:18:33 TRACK 01 AUDIO TITLE "YY1" PERFORMER "XX" INDEX 01 00:00:00 FILE "02.wav" WAVE REM FILE-DECODED-SIZE 02:28:70 TRACK 02 AUDIO TITLE "YY2" PERFORMER "XX" INDEX 01 00:00:00 FILE "03.wav" WAVE REM FILE-DECODED-SIZE 03:09:00 TRACK 03 AUDIO TITLE "YY3" PERFORMER "XX" INDEX 01 00:00:00 FILE "04.wav" WAVE REM FILE-DECODED-SIZE 01:49:02 TRACK 04 AUDIO TITLE "YY4" PERFORMER "XX" INDEX 01 00:00:00 This one comes from Nero when I put the above in the player and rip. This one gives the mentioned problems when playing back : PERFORMER "XX" TITLE "ZZ" FILE "XX-ZZ.wav" WAVE TRACK 01 AUDIO TITLE "YY1" PERFORMER "XX" INDEX 01 00:00:00 TRACK 02 AUDIO TITLE "YY2" PERFORMER "XX" INDEX 01 03:18:33 TRACK 03 AUDIO TITLE "YY3" PERFORMER "XX" INDEX 01 05:47:28 TRACK 04 AUDIO TITLE "YY4" PERFORMER "XX" INDEX 01 08:56:28 |

Strange that no one of those hotshots seems to be able to find a solution...... |
