Merry Christmas everyone!

I've been a long time lurker, but I have a question so have registered so thought I'd introduce myself!

My name is Greg, and I live in the Midlands in England. I have a number of DVD-Audio and BluRay audio discs that I have mostly backed up to DTS WAV files that I can play on my Apple TV. My media revolves around Apple, though I own PCs, not Macs. Music-wise I'll listen to anything from Abba to ZZ Top, as long as it sounds good!

Seasons greetings to all.

All the best,
Greg

Welcome Greg!

I use apple Airport Express' to stream DTS from iTunes to DTS receivers (iTunes only supports 44.1KHz). I also have an Apple TV (Apple TV's resample everything to 48KHz so can't do bit perfect @44.1 KHz like the airport express, but can do 48KHz DTS as you know).

We're here to help. What's your question?

Hi Zeer, thanks for the welcome!

My question was about Audiomuxer and 24/96 but I think I've answered it myself! I was going to ask how to extract a 24/96 DTS WAV from a BluRay ISO. My results so far have only yielded the core, which is 48. Don't get me wrong, it's great to have a utility that will rip a DTS WAV that my ATV will pass through to my amp! It's been a revelation the last few months to have all my multi channel audio off physical and streamable.

I experimented tonight with another BluRay that has a 24/96 core in Audiomuxer. Sure enough, not only would it export to SPDIF WAV, but my amp detected a 24/96 DTS feed confirmed by the "24/96" on the amp, but also via MediaInfo on my media center. To summarise - it converts what you give it. Doubtless I could learn eac3to command line but I'd rather take the feed as it is.

Thank you once again and Merry Christmas!

Greg,

Glad you found that.

By the way, the other tool that is hosted here, besides AudioMuxer, is "Spec", a way to convert your favorite stereo music into surround sound.

Cheers,
Z

Hi Greg.

Are we talking the old dvd-audio format or just getting surround sound onto dvd?

AudioMuxer, from this site, let's you create DVD-video disks with 5.1 dts and you can add pictures for each track.

Can you say more about what you want to do?
