Hello and greetings from Texas,

I have been using Plogue Bidule for electronic music projects for years without ever considering converting stereo to 5.1. Then someone played a 5.1 version of The Song Of Scheherazade by Renaissance for me. I could not believe how good it was, and was shocked to find it was an upmix (a term I did not know). He refered me to this site. If he can do it so can I. Though I am now as raw as they come on this subject, I don't plan on staying that way. I am sure I will post any number of dumb questions I am one of those guys who has to understand every aspect of any technology I plan to use. I don't claim to be the smartest guy but I do have a PhD in computer science and I am also a lawyer. I want to learn it all as well as write my own plugins. I hope to get to know all of you in time. Thank you for this wonderfull site.
