Just wanted to introduce myself, I am Herb from Miami Fl. I love surround sound music, I am a jazz pianist and work in the Pro-Audio industry. I have downloaded Audiomuxer and it's a nice little tool.
My thanks to the author/dev for his/her hardwork for sure. I have a specific question, if some one could help. I purchased surcode-DTS CD Pro encoder, and of course I have Audiomuxer installed.
I have many 5.1 wav ripped from my personal sacd collection, using the ps3 method. I then convert them to 16/44.1 with the foobar plugin to 5.1 wav. I see an option in Audiomuxer to use surcode's encoder inside the gui, but the "test" does not discover it. I can not check this off manually either. What I am wanting to do is covert them to dts-cd to import in itunes for my apple tv. I have done a few already, using audiomuxer to split the 5.1 to mono wavs, then manually feed them to surcode, burn the cd with imgburn etc, it works. The problem is the workflow is tedious for my eyes. I see that audiomuxer can convert these. What I would love is to use the audimuxer gui tool, with the surcode encoder, and not the surcode gui if that makes sense.I did not see any explanation on the pdf manual (nice job by the way). Any help greatly appreciated! Merry Christmas......

FYI you should be converting to 44.1 24 bits vs. 16. The DTS encoders accept 24 bit files.

Then I'm confused about the iTunes AppleTV part. I know how to do get DTS into itunes and play it back via a HT connected to an AirPort Express (and by the way I don't have to burn a CD to do it):

but I seem to recall (and just did a quick test) that it doesn't work with AppleTV (Gen 2).

Would you please tell us more about your process?

Is your apple TV 1st gen or 2nd? That may be the key difference. Mine is 2nd Gen and I believe it converts all audio to 48Khz, thus not the bit perfect playback needed to stream 44.1Khz dts from iTunes.
