Hi, Guys! ... Jack here!

I've been a Surround lover since the days of Quad, and I'm an avid fan of the current era of 5.1 surround releases, as well as making my own stereo-to-surround conversions!

I listen to everything from early 1900's big-band and classical/orchestra mono's, the 30's thru 50's early era of Country and Pop/Rock, all the way up thru yesterdays and todays current bands, But I really like that 60's and 70's supergroup and psychedelic stuff more than anything, like Pink Floyd, Yes, Rush, Black Sabbath, etc. (Oh, and let us not forget The Beatles!). (Oh, and I'm not a huge fan of Rap, though an occassional HipHop song ain't too bad)

We all look forward to making this site a HUGE resource about Do-It-Yourself Stereo-to-Surround converting, and we welcome new members regardless of their interest or technical level regarding the converting process. We're here to educate, so look around the forum and teach yourself how to make your own home-brewed stereo-to-surround conversions!

Oh, and as far as "Hobbies" go ... "THIS is my hobby!" ... Long Live Surround Sound!!

TS here, seems like this is going to be a cool place to hang out. I have been into surround sound for 5 years and and always look forward to progress in converting stereo to surround.

I'm river136. I've been doing stereo to surround conversions for a few years now.
I was into Quad when it first came out.
At first, I had a panasonic 4 channel 8 track player/recorder/amp I bought in an Army PX,
along with some quad Pink Floyd, Traffic, etc.
Later on I had some high $$ equipment I kept for quite a few years, but eventually sold as it
was showing it's age.
Years went by, and I got that urge to hear my quad again. I stumbled upon some folks that
were using Plogue Bidule to create surround conversions, and I fell right into it.
It's been quite a journey, and I've enjoyed the company of some fine folks, such as the ones
that run this forum.
Oh yeah. I've enjoyed taking my stereo LP's/CD's and converting to surround.
It just gets better all the time.....

I'm Hugo and I'm looking forward to getting into some conversions. Been a fan of surround for some years now but never been game enough to try it myself.

Checked out some of the Wiki items, looks easy there, will try out in real life.
