Joined this month and I think I'm ready to dive in and try my hand at a remix. Still have to go through the tutorials and get the software. Now, my first inclination was to try and remix Ambrosia's 'Somewhere I've Never Travelled' but I think that may be a little daunting for a first try. I've always wanted to hear the Alan Parsons lush production in surround. However, that may be a little more than one could handle on the first attempt. Any suggestions on perhaps a couple of good albums to try on the first go round? |

I'd say one album is as good as any other, as long as you've got the patience and a good live monitoring setup. I'm very confident in SPEC-CC, Slice, and ArcTan being able to take on even the most difficult source, but a whole lot of it is going to be your own experimentation there. I say, if it's your dream to hear that track in surround, then jump right in and make sure to ask the forum for support. Welcome aboard! |
