Question about the bass routing:
It is not exactly clear from the manual how the LFE activation/deactivation relates to bass routing controls. For instance, I would like to use 2.0 setting and direct the bass to Front left and Front right channels only. What would happen if the LFE is also activated?

It seems I can‘t make Peak Capture work. What I‘m doing wrong?:
- Offline processing;
- ZAG on Measure Levels;
- Hit “play” on the Audio File Player / Bidule “on”;
- End of play / Bidule “off”;
- Open all the limiters
- ZAG on Playback whatever Peak
... and nothing happens. Should that 5 sec clip just start playing by itself? The limiters start showing only if I hit “play” on the Audio File Player again, from the beginning of file that is.

If you open the peak capture controls does it show that something was captured? You would have time stamps and track numbers in there.

Open PC controls was only suggested as a means of understanding what you are seeing.

Peak Capture must be checked during the measure levels step, in order for you to capture peaks and view them after the measure levels step.

The "default" settings in Spec are set to minimize DSP and peak capture is one of many optional features that adds DSP load, so it is off by default.

What exactly happened when you clicked on Open GUI? If you got a "Basic Audio Buffer" window with six lines but it didn't playback anything please make sure "peak capture" in ZAG is checked (on Plogue Processing is on).

Having said that, the limiter group is where you want to monitor because that is where you need to deal with peaks.

Thanks for helping me to sort the things out and it is very much appreciated. What still bugs me a little is that something you read is not necessary true in reality for the user who jumps in at a later stage of the SPEC development.
I do understand that Peak Capture must be checked during the measure levels step and I did that in the first place. The problem was with the “default” settings in the PC Controls and I sorted it out. The last point is with Open GUI. When checked, it feels like the "Basic Audio Buffer" window (as shown in the manual) should open, but I can’t see it (I even started looking for it with Alt+Tab keys). ..This time I haven’t got a slightest idea.
