Effective Aug 15, just as the kind folks in this forum warned us, Plogue stopped its free period. There is no definitive date for a trial replacement on their site. Could be a month, could be a year.
Is there another software that can we can use with SPEC instead of Plogue either as freeware, shareware or simply pay-for-program but below $30.
I love SPEC. But, I cannot afford to spam Plogue ($95). For some it is a pocket change, for me it is a fortune at time (due to a financial hell my whole family is going through). What else is there that SPEC can be used with below $30 ot free?

Plogue has another version roughly every three months, which starts another free trial period, but sometimes there is a month or so when you can't use it while waiting for a new version.

Check here:

to see if there is a newer version than what you have now. You want the 32 bit standalone version, even if you have windows 64 bit OS. Install that, then you also need the "Standalone discrete processing test version". Place that (unziped) in the same folder as the Plogue exe.

There exists a command line version of SPEC, that doesn't need Plogue, however I have not released it because it lacks the shareware mechanism at this time. Target spam for that will be less than $30, although I'll have to pay some money for included libraries.

Lack of donations for SPEC is holding me back.
