Hi Z,

I have tried installing this version in the manner described by double-clicking 'install_spec.bat', however the new window opens then closes in an instant. I'm figuring something is not working correctly on my pc due to this. My operating system is 32 bit Vista.

Thanks for your help.

Couple things to try:

1) hold down the shift key and right click on install.bat and select Run as Administrator.

2) If that doesn't work, go into the bin directory and try the same as above on Vista_or_Windows_7_Install.vbs

What Anti-Virus etc. are you running?

Hi Z,

Thanks for your suggestions. I tried both.

The 'shift' then double-click did not give me the
'run as administrator' option, but I had tried this prior to your tip, and it did not fix the problem.

I am using Microsoft Security Essentials.

The other option sends me to the browser to download the new version of Plogue Bidule, which I have installed, but every time I try to re-run it keeps on going back to this browser.

Got me stumped...?

That would be shift + right click (no double click).

Hi Z,

Correction noted and employed. Still no luck.

Is there a work around whereby i can cut and paste folders and manually install?

Yes, but would you please send post a scrren shot or copy and paste the text from the installer so I can try to fgure out what is going wrong?

Do you have Plogue .9710 installed (and run at least once, should happen as part of the install)? The installer won't run until you do that.

Hi Z, Happy to do that, but how do i do this without using an attachment? (From my understanding I don't have permission for this). Sorry but as you can tell I'm somewhat of a dumb spam when it comes to computers.

To copy and paste, in the installer window, highlight all the text, right click on the top window border and select edit --> copy. Then just paste it into a post.

To post a screen shot, click on the installer (so it has "focus") then press alt+PrintScreen (on a laptop keyboard this might be Fn+Alt+PrintScrren), then open "Paint" or other graphics program and do a paste. Save the screen shot as a png or jpeg. Then you can use an image hosting service like imageshack or photobucket to upload your image. Once that is done, you paste the url to the image into a post and put Img take around it, like this:

\[img]http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb437/hit71/7496f1-1.jpg\[/img]

(except with out the "\" before the img tags, I had to do that so you could see the tags)
