I have just been trying out SPEC 4.2.1. I have an issue with the Audio File Recorder whereby once a file has been processed, the Bit Depth drop-down box and file selector [...] button are inactive, making it impossible to change the output filename. The Recording button does change from Stop to Start as expected. The only thing I can do is restart the whole Plogue application. What am I doing wrong, please?

it's a Plogue bug. you're doing nothing wrong. it shouldn't be happening all the time but, yes, all you can do is restart when it occurs.

You can also try pressing the Stop/Start button in the Audio File Recorder and in the Audio File Player. Sometimes it will unlock the Bit Depth pull-down.

but doing all the time restart is very painful,, is there any alternate way??

Current versions are Plogue .9710 and Spec 4.8. Many inprovements and bug fixes. Suggest you upgrade.
