Hi Z, Thanks for your help. When I run the 'Vista Installer' I get routed to the Plogue download browser, even though my configuration is already updated and I have started Plogue since ( i presume this is the same as 're-run'?). The following text appears: *************************************************** . This batch file installs the SPEC layout plugins, and required support files . *************************************************** The system cannot find the path specified. The system cannot find the path specified. *************************************************** . Required .9710 or higher 32bit version of Plogue is not installed . Can't find log file: C:\Users\Woody \Bidule.log . Please install latest Windows 32bit Standalone version of Plogue . And re-run SPEC instalation *************************************************** Press any key to continue . . . Here is a screen shot of my Plogue to prove I am running the .9710 version: Here is another error message: I hope this provides some info to assist further. Regards and thanks. |

The 2nd error is showing that Plogue is having trouble installing as well? Anyway to install manually: 1) Copy both items in the EXEs folder to the folder where Plogue Bidule is installed 2) Copy both layouts in the layouts folder the to Plogue\Bidule\layouts folder 3) Copy the four plugins in the plugins folder to Plogue\Bidule\plugins. If you don't have Plogue\Bidule\plugins you will need to create it. 4) Copy the VST from the VSTs folder to Plogue\Bidule\VSTPlugins. 5) Download and unzip this: http://www.plogue.com/bidule/latest/PlogueBiduleP2.zip and put it in the folder where Plogue Bidule is installed. That is the version of plogue to run with this version of SPEC (you have run the regular .9710 installer first). You might want to make a shortcut of this and put it on your desktop. You need to have the following installed (if you don't already): http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... st_x86.exe http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... tnetfx.exe To help me understand the installer issue further would you please open a command window, enter "set" (without the quotes) and post the output? Thanks! |

Also, to help me, you could unzip the attached on replace the Windows_XP_Install.bat in the bin folder with this one and re-run the Vista installer and post the output. It won't work any better but it has extra debug output. Thanks! |

Thanks for the screen shot. I'm working with the Plogue team to figure out what's up with the log file. The audio device get's connected to the bottom of Zmon. You will need to determine which of all those pins on your creative device gives you the discrete 5.1 channels. From memory creative may not have them in the "ITU" order as in the output of Zmon (by the way you can mouse over pins and groups in Plogue and see info in the lower left hand corner of the plogue window). I also seem to remember some pins on the creative device being for multiple speakers and effects. If you have issues with the creative card I can recommend internal and USB cards that are known to work well for what we do here. |
