I have tried installing Spec with the new June 7 2017 version of Plogue Bidule. Everything goes well (yes I remembered to open Plogue Bidule before running spec). when I click on P2 I get a message saying this version of Plogue has expired. Has anyone else had this problem? What gives?

If you run the spec installer it should pull down a new P2 as well. but short of that, you can get it here:

https://www.plogue.com/bidule/latest/9756/PlogueBiduleP2.zip

Oh, I see that's why the Spec installer didn't work. He's changed the URL for P2.

I haven't tried the June 7th version yet myself, but will make a point of doing so in the morning.

Thank you for your reply. Please let me know if you get Spec to install correctly, and if you do what change(s) you had to make. Doctor r

OK let's try again with some specific manual instructions (that worked for me):

1) Install this version of Plogue (because you must use the 32 bit version for Spec) "Standalone (version 0.9756)": https://www.plogue.com/download/PlogueBiduleInstaller.exe

2) Next, you need the "Standalone discrete processing test version(version 0.9756)": https://www.plogue.com/bidule/latest/9756/PlogueBiduleP2.zip
a) Download, unzip, and copy the exe file to C:\Program Files (x86)\Plogue\Bidule
b) Make a shortcut, and place it on your desktop (I renamed mine to "P2"). This is the shortcut you need to use to launch Plogue (NOT the one put on the desktop by the installer)

3) Now you should be able to load and and run Spec.

Let me know if you have any red boxes or other problems.

I'll have to ask Seb, the Plogue developer, if he is going to keep the "P2" url with the version in it, or go back to the "standard", so I can fix the Spec Installer.

PS I deleted your duplicate post in the other thread.

Somehow we are miss-communicating because when I copy and paste the PlogueBiduleP2.zip link into my browser's address bar I get a PlogueBiduleP2.zip download.

Inside the zip file is PlogueBiduleP2.exe, which you copy into your C:\Program Files (x86)\Plogue\Bidule folder.

What exactly happens when you paste: https://www.plogue.com/bidule/latest/9756/PlogueBiduleP2.zip into your browser?

When I paste it into Bing I get a page of options beginning with the Bidule website and various third party links to Bidule. None of these links have anything to do with P2. From Yahoo I get nearly the same page of links, one of them does mention P2. When I click on it I get the same Bidule download page found on the Bidule site with no mention of P2. what browser are you using?

Hi, you have to paste the link
Code:
https://www.plogue.com/bidule/latest/9756/PlogueBiduleP2.zip
directly in the URL address bar of your browser.
It is the place on your screen where you are currently seeing something like "http://www.surroundbyus.com/sbu/viewtopic.php?...." Just overwrite this with the link provided or open a new tab in your browser and paste the link then in the address bar.
Do not paste it in a search engine like Bing, Google etc...
