For 32 bit float to 24 bit fixed I recommend NO dither.

For 32 bit float to 16 bit fixed you need to use dither (but we don't have 32 bit float to 24 bit fixed in our workflow, as Surcode is optimized for 24 bit input).

i do more upsamples than downsamples, ... in rare ocasions downsamples from 24b to 16b.
do you recommend dither in this case?

now i did a authored dvd with the same 5.1 multichannel wave 16/44.1.

using coaxial or spam outputs the result is:
'all 5.1 channels summeds together' playing in Left (front) only. :lol:
