Hi boys!
I haven't been to the forum for a long time. I don't know if this is the right place to post and if not,
--> I kindly ask the moderator to move this post to the right place or delete it.

I've been doing upmixes with Audacity and CenterCutGui but most of the steps are with Audacity.
The result is reasonably good/very good, but I take more than 85 steps to encode a single song,
the temporary archives reach 30 GB and I need a whole day or more to work on a single song.
I would like you to indicate me a good tutorial for 5.1 here on the forum because there are many possibilities and methods here and I don't even know which one to choose.
Remember, I've been a user for a long time but English is not my mother tongue.
Thank you for the indications and I hope that the forum returns to full power as it was some time ago,
here is a good place to exchange ideas and is full of highly helpful people and companions for a long time on the internet.

Hugs to all and I await recommendations.
jorge luiz

The latest and greatest method hosted here is https://surroundbyus.com/sbu/download/SpecScript%201.8%20Release.zip

Drag and drop a stereo file SpecScript.bat, select "feeling lucky" and it will pick the best method for your input track.

Centercut is used under the covers for most methods.

If you want to incorporate Music Source Separation, there is a similar script where the author and I collaborated, hosted over at quadraphoicquad: https://www.quadraphonicquad.com/forums/threads/demucs-centrecutcl-stereo-to-5-1-script-v-0-2b.32788/post-650858

wow
Thanks Zeerround for the 'very quick' response, I'm following your recommendation and downloading from the posted link.
lol selecting "feel lucky" is funny, I trust you and will choose this option!
After the 'script' I'll take a look at quadraphonicquad (link is bookmarked)

Thank you very very much. :-)

Zeerround, i'm back! :-)

Sincerely I can't deal with command lines and i need yours instructions to use the script that you popsted in quadraphonicquad.
A long time don't use this kind of way to 5.1 and i don't feel 'shame' to tell that i don't know, no proud here..we all learn using the interest to learn.
I'm sure that the result will be fantastic cos i know how you care of what you do.
can you teach me how to use it all telling me step by step, please?
cheers. :-)

No command line.

Drag and drop your stereo file on SpecScript.bat

Select a method or just hit OK.

Upmixed file will be in the same directory as the input file.

Double click on ReadMe.txt for more instuctions.

Oh...was a quick answer and i only saw 'today'.

After start the script is calling for "libmmd.dll".
"Install_SpecWeb.bat" freeze my system.(nothing wrong with the .bat)

Inside "SpecWebGuide.pdf" is wroten:
"Windows XP, 7, Vista, and 8 are no longer supported."
gezz, i'm still a Win 7 user(x86). :-(

Zeerround, what can be done? :?:
Have another script that still work for win7(x86) ?
cheers. :-)

libmmd.dll is going to come from installing:

"SpecScript 1.8 Release\SpecWeb\bin\ww_icl_redist_msi_2020.4.311\ww_icl_redist_ia32_2020.4.311.msi"

But then there may be more problems after that. I can't really put any effort into windows 7 at this point.

Okay, I downloaded all versions and they really don't work on win 7, version 1.8 does all the work but gives a 'dumb' result.(no sound)
I have another pc with win 10 but, believe me, I never use it.
I'm still using a notebook since 2009 with linux(Librix) and Win7(32). 'in a little while' I will be using the pc
with win 10 because support for win7 is over and even browsers are announcing that they will not support this system!
I will certainly post the results as soon as I change my PC.

Big hug and thank you for your extreme attention and good will, Zeerround. :)
