I'm a new member to this forum.

I need some details. If any link already available in this forum you can guide or you can reply here.

My requirement is below.

1) I'm not interested to hear music in MP3 format. Normally I procure or download songs in DTS & DD format and hear only in my AV Receiver. But in this I can get only limited songs and not the ones I like most. I use Tranzcode to demux & Surcode to make DTS.

But if want to download & convert stereo files of my wish to 5.1, what type of stereo files , what mode and specification( sampling rate, Bit rate & Depth etc.,, size) and how I have to download and then do demuxing & remuxing.

In simple what type of stereo files if down loaded and converted will be nice in 5.1 and how to do it?

Stereo source files should be in lossless format such as .wav or .flac. Higher quality (higher sample sample rate and/or bitdepth) sources will lead to better results.
