Post subject:  Please Help - Most Likely User Error

HI,

I've made a few upmixes using Plogue and Spec and I've gone back and I cannot get my wav files to even play to start some new editing.

I can play the .wav files in windows media player so I know it's ok in that regard. I've open some previous saved plogue files and they don't play even though I ve used that exact same preset to create my upmixes. It's a tad baffling, and I'm sure I'm doing something obviously wrong but I've spent quite some time and I'm unable to get the first step to start.

Any help is very much appreciated.

The audio file player just won't move and yes the mode is processing.

Thank you!

Thinking...

It is possible to get Plogue in a confused state where processing off=on and on=off, spam first selecting an audio device that is in use by another process and then switching to one that isn't, but If you are starting plogue from scratch repeatedly that is unlikely.

Maybe start with a layout that has only an audo file player and your audio device in it and make sure that is working. The default layout that comes up when you start plogue should be good (player, mixer, and default audio device)

If that doesn't work you could try re installing Plogue from this link:

http://www.plogue.com/download/PlogueBi ... taller.exe

and then re-installing Spec.

That will pull down the latest version of Plogue.

That said, these are kind of "shotgun" fixes and I suspect we are missing something, but please try these and report back.

Cheers,
Z

I see you're getting help over at Plogue.com.
