i clearly understood how the 'recording delay' works in the explanations and is very nice. i only don't know how to use in a single layout that have 3 stereo players and one recorder with 6 channels. i'm losing few milliseconds in the beginning of the result even with buffer minimized in Plogue. i only don't lose if i record 'on line'. have way to use the 'recording delay' in this single layout? thanks. |

Sounds like you have too much (recording trigger) delay. More won't help. You have one player linked directly to all the others and the recorder? |

player1 linked to player2 and player2 linked to player3. player1 linked to the recorder too. |

no, i'm sure in my case as i tested a good number of musics. more buffer, more loses in the beginning of the result! adjusting to 32 lose less but still lose! only if i record 'online' (real time) i don't lose anything no matter the buffer size adjusted. (thinking loud: seems that i need to delay the recorder to use 'offline processing' as the players are in sincro. ( ??? ) ) |

I was able to duplicate your issue using a layout with only a player and a recorder. Adding a 0dB gain bidule did not help. Next I added delay lines between the player and recorder and set up a recording delay group. With the delays (and recording delay) set to 100 samples, it still cut off some sound, but not as much. I then tried 200 samples and the output file was correct. This was at 44.1 kHz. I tested a SPEC layout and it does not cut off anything in offline or on-line mode, with a 512 buffer. I'll post on Plogue.com and maybe we can get this fixed. |
