Far better than SHAPlay is the new DVD-A plugin for foobar! It can play DVD-A ISO files (simply open the ISO), or DVD-A in any shape or form (encrypted retail discs, backup copies, mounted ISOs, AUDIO_TS folders, MLP files, even single AOB files which I'm sure non-mlp AOBs work too) - see it at !

i can't disagree with you boys because my win2000 don't work with Foobar but i know that is very nice.

SHAPlay don't change sample rate/bit depht and is very soft running in my system, CPU don't feel 'heavy and tired'.
i'm curious:
Foobar can play 5.1 24/96 and stereo 24/192 without change sample rate/bit depht too?

all details that you posted a have the 'obligation' to understand as retired technician.
i did question about one program that i don't use as i posted 2 times in 2 posts.
i repeat that SHAPlay reproduce without downsample or change bit-rate, i'm completely sure. this is one feature that i have doubts in Foobar, i was calling for this simples informations from trusty users from trusty forum...is one good reference, right?
maybe i was waiting too much from Fan51 as i always know what i'm using and how it works.
maybe he don't bore with this details.

Do realise, that I put SHAplay into the same boat as foobar, with regards to bitperfect playback. I could not get shaplay to work with asio4all, reclock, wasapi OR kernel streaming with one sound card, but with a different one everything works. YMMV is the answer. Anyway, nice to see you here :).
