I am converting dts cd's to dts dvd-v. My problem is that the audio conversion tool in AudioMuxer sometimes recognizes the wave file as 6 channels (in which case the conversion works) and sometimes it labels it as 2 channels (which only produces static in the final output). On the album "Night Calls" by Joe Cocker, the firs track was considered 2 channel wave and the other 9 tracks were 6 channel (it did "fix" those tracks). On Steely Dan "Gaucho", all of the tracks were detected as 2 channel wave files. I use SurCode for dts. Is there any way to decode the 6 channel waves to 6 mono waves if the program doesn't recognize the wave file as 6 channels?

I have exactly the same issue.
Is it possible to get a copy of your tool?
Thanks

I'm also having this same issue, I'm finding it very frustrating to get a DTS decoding. Any luck on getting this tool more available with the program? Sure would be nice if one could consistently depend on this program to do what it's supposed to.

Tool had been already incorporated in AudioMuxer (as of version 0.9.3.9).

Go into Tools/Audio Conversion and when you select the audio files, in the "select files of type" drop-down box specifically select DTSWAV Files and then select your file(s). AudioMuxer will then do a thorough check of the file(s) and will make corrections when necessary.

Thanks, this is cool, and certainly very helpful. But, still not quite there yet.

I've found this method to not be 100 percent, I've found 2 discs today that despite selecting dtswav from the dropdown, it still won't decode them. And they are definitely dts streams, from commercial dts CDs actually.

Any fix for this? I'd really like to decode these.

I'm sure Pl4yitLOUD will want a sample for testing.

In the meantime, you might want to try foobar2000 and the foo_input_dts DTS decoder component.

Then, you can make a foobar converter setting:

output format: wav (or flac I guess)
Processing: check "Enable decode post processing"

Then if you want mono files you can use Audiomuxer to split the multi-channel wav or flac file into single channel files.

Yeah, I've played with foobar. Never got it to work though, it always gives me a file that is....not faster. But shorter. Pitched right, but quick, so it's dropping samples somehow. After wasting a half hour with it, I decided it wasn't worth my time to deal with that rubbish anymore.

I've found lots of things that are supposed to decode dts that don't. So far audiomuxer shows the most promise, so hopefully playitloud will be able to perfect things with the samples I sent.
