I just had a couple of questions re: the above formats and encoding process. As plouge can process Flac files I just wanted to know does decompressing the .Flac to its original .wav give it more quality for the conversion process? Second question is about the DTS HD Encoder suite. With the HD formats for blue-ray I saw you could output a .cpt file through the DTS high resolution option giving you a higher kbps bitrate for each track being 3840kbps and keeping the 48khz sampling rate. Is this of benefit quality wise, for producing a DVD audio disc or is the difference negligible? Thanks |

I'll let others answer the 2nd question, but as to the first, flac is lossless so there is nothing to gain by converting it to another format. |

Max targeted bitrate of a DTS stream for DVD-Video is 1536 kbit/s, so a higher figure will not work. |

What are you using for your Plogue DSP Settings? Buffer Size FFT Size FFT Overlap Optimizing these will get you the best quality. |
