So what we need is a utility that converts the .dts format to:



Which is a 48 Khz DTS wave which can be encoded to flac and tagged.

Thanks for your test, so spdifer does the trick. Reading a bit, it not only encapsulates the DTS in a Wav file, but also formats it according to a certain (IEC61937) standard, and that last bit is specifically needed for SPDIF if you want to play any sort of file through this interface.

So I gather the audiomuxer feature request would be to extract audio from a DVD, break into individual songs (chapters), convert to wav, then flac and tag.

That option should be clearly delineated from decoding and saving as multi-channel waves or flacs.

I don't have a BluRay drive in any of my computers.

Also, I'll put my system back in spam mode and test because I think these files should by playable via software decoders.

Foobar 1.x with dts plugin correctly decodes and plays both the spidfer wav and converted to flac files.

Only caveat is the wave form displayed (if you are using that plugin) does not show the six decoded waves, but only the two encoded waves, in the flac file. The wav file displays correctly.

VLC does not decode the .flac file or the .wav file. Renaming the file to .dts or .dtswav does not help.
