I have been playing around with Audio Muxer and first of all I would just like to say WOW what a nice program. Now on to my question. I have been able to add multi channel all the way up to 24/192 in an mkv file as well as the other formats. My questions is this...why not do music in the MKV format as it seems that it is more compatible than DVD-A most people can play MKV but a lot of people have issues with DVD-A as they dont have stand alone players. I use other means to play them but I can use almost any player for MKV I just have to make sure they arent down converting it. Another question is concerning flac. If i mux the 6 mono wavs of any bit rate etc and convert to flac is there any difference in quality beside the more conventional MLP Or even dtshd. For my ears they sound the same and once again much more compatible. Thoughts on this from anyone? |

Thanks for the info. I assumed that was the way it was but wasnt sure if there was some degradation as oppsed to MLP etc. |
